Flights, food and activities

food-alentejo

Flights and transport to the camp are not included. If you want, we're happy to arrange a convenient transfer from Lisbon to the camp, which takes approximately 2 hours.

Our buffet breakfasts, four lunches and five dinners at the camp are included in all packages. For a refreshing break after a long day in the waves, we have a range of soft drinks, beer and cider available in our honesty bar.

To dos:

Insurance: As always when travelling, we advise that you have sufficient coverage in the unlikely event of an injury, medical emergency or other unforeseen circumstances.

Car: A rental could be beneficial if you want to really explore Alentejo. Some of the most beautiful places are remote and there are not a lot of taxis available in the area.

Why do we have fixed arrival dates?

Lapoint-surf-camp-costa-rica-entry

Ever wondered why we have fixed arrival days at Lapoint? It’s not just a schedule thing—it’s a vibe thing.

We love the idea of endless flexibility, but when it comes to surfing, structure is key. That’s why our surf programs follow a set weekly schedule. Here’s why it makes your trip better:

A real surf community from day one: Arriving together means making friends fast. From sharing waves to sunset hangouts, you’ll be part of a crew from the get-go.

Progression that actually sticks: Surfing isn’t something you just “pick up.” Each session builds on the last, making sure you improve at the right pace without missing key fundamentals.

A smoother experience, every step of the way: From airport pickups to surf lessons and group meals, everything runs seamlessly when everyone starts together. Less stress, more surfing.

Sustainability

The beach is our home. We are leaving it better than we found it.

We have made a commitment to our ocean, beaches and community. They are our playground, our home and our livelihood. We are going to leave them better than we found them. That means that all our employees, friends and guests helps out with recycling and taking other actions for the environment. Each week there are beach cleaning and recycling activities to ensure that our home stays the way it was supposed to be.
