At our Lapoint surf camp in Canggu, Bali, we want to share the stoke of surfing and help take your skills to the next level, all while having a lot of fun in the process. Bali has terrific waves, and in our courses below, you'll find a customized experience for your level. Here in Bali, Indonesia, you’ll learn to surf in a true paradise or level up your surfing in one of the world’s best locations for a surf holiday.

Beginner - 0-4 hours surf experience needed

Surf - Level 1

Lapoint level 1 surfer

With its learner-friendly waves and warm water, Bali is an ideal place to learn to surf. The Level 1 course is for those who have never surfed before and want to learn the basics in a safe and fun way. It's also a perfect refresh course for you who have surfed previously and want to get back on the board.

These surf lessons are held in mellow waves on sand-bottom beaches, such as the famous Legian beach.

Ratio: Maximum 6 students per instructor

Intermediate - 10 hours surf experience needed

Surf - Level 2

Bali, Indonesia, is home to some genuinely spectacular waves, and each day we go to find the best waves for your surf level. When the conditions are right, our level 2 group goes from Sanur to Turtle Island (Serangan). A short cruise through the lagoon in our private surf boat is an unforgettable part of the trip. Once there, we share fun waves, giggles and tropical memories of a lifetime.

Independent - 60 hours surf experience needed

Surf - Level 3

Bali and its world-class waves provide the perfect platform for you to grow as a surfer. The Level 3 course is designed to make you confident in most types of breaks, so we'll surf mellow reef-, point and beach breaks to help increase your comfort zone. Backed with the local knowledge, passion and expertise of our surfing instructors, you'll be safe and inspired while surfing some of the best spots on the island.

Bali’s tropical waves are surfable year-round, and every season offers its own charm. The dry season (May to October) is the peak surf season, with consistent swells and sunny days. During the wet season (November to April), you’ll find smaller crowds, lighter waves, and more relaxed vibes—perfect for those looking to avoid busy lineups. Whether you're just starting or chasing barrels, Bali has it all!
