Why we love Sri Lanka

Why we always return to Sri Lanka

March 13, 2023

We’re having such a great time in Sri Lanka at the moment, and we feel so happy to have the camp open again. Before the pandemic hit, we had staff here from all over the world who had made Sri Lanka their home. Many of us are now returning to reconnect with the place, the people and our local surf friends, and the vibe is really good!

Sri Lanka 2021

When something is taken away from you, and you finally get to experience it again, you find yourselves with a whole new level of appreciation. The sunsets seem even more golden, the surfing is more addictive, the ocean is bluer, the stoke is higher and the community is stronger.

It’s a reason why so many of us have fallen in love with this island – it’s a tropical paradise, but with a lot of soul and a strong community. It feels like home. Just better.

Having fun in Sri Lanka

We would love to share it all with you, and as the high season is now kicking in here in Sri Lanka, it’s the perfect time to come and join us! The weather is amazing, the conditions are great, and there are few people in the lineup.

Our camp is within short distance to some amazing surf spots, one of them just a few minutes walk away, and in general, it’s very easy to get around.

You can experience a lot within short proximity, so once you’re here you don’t have to worry about travelling too much around if you don’t want to. There are sooo many amazing highlights around the camp: go surfing at the epic spot by Marissa Beach, watch the breathtaking sunrise from Coconut Hill, go on an adventure and find the Secret Beach, check out the famous palm swing at Dalawella beach during sunset, explore the colourful street and quirky cafes in Galle Fort and chill out at stunning Unawatuna beach.

It’s a lot to experience, are you ready to take it all in?
