We are back!
March 13, 2023After 4 months of empty rooms and gardens we have now finally reopened in lovely Ericeira! We are S T O K E D about it and so should you be, waves have been super fun and summer vibes are all over the place. It feels amazing to fill the spaces with positive sounds again and to start doing what it is we love - spreading good times and good vibes in and out of the water.
The new normal is still pretty damn good
Life in Ericeira is back to normal for the most part and all services are open. Face masks are used when entering public establishments and social distancing is now the new normal, but besides the masks and the lack of “beijinhos” (salutatory kiss on the cheek) seen on the streets, vibes are good all around town. For us that live here, it has actually been really beautiful the last months.
Waves for days
Summer waves are fun, and there has been plenty of it for all levels the past few weeks. For the beginner summer is a great time since waves are smaller and less powerful than other parts of the year. For experienced surfers there is still plenty to enjoy. Reefs, beaches and point breaks are right here in town and you can surf here EVERY DAY - in a normal year there are only a handful days without waves.
Is the Lapoint vibe still alive?
Y E S it is safe with us here! :) In some ways it might be slightly more mellow than usual this summer but things at the camp will operate the same way as normal for the most part. Good vibes will be plentiful and many new friends will be made. That is guaranteed! We have quite a few bookings already for the summer from all over europe so we are looking forward to good times again.
The camp
Our bar and restaurant is open as usual, but instead of having a buffet breakfast we will serve you a delicious breakfast plate - or if you decide to have a breakfast bag to go you could have that instead. Your choice! Otherwise it’s up to you to go nuts. You can skate, take a dip in the pool, train or yoga between the surf sessions, or just relax. It’s all up to your energy level and what you are here for.
We hope to see you soon!

Travelling to Portugal
Most european countries are open for travels to Portugal with no quarantine when coming back, but it’s always good to check in with the rules in your country during these times. It can also be worthwhile to check in with your insurance company before travelling to see if things are back to “normal” now or if there is anything you need to consider.
How do I get to Lisbon and Ericeira these days?
Actually, it is pretty easy to fly to Lisbon even these days and you can get a cheap round-trip flight from most of the big airports in Europe. If you don’t want to fly, Lisbon has good bus connections with other European countries. Or why not make it a road trip and fill the car with other surf hungry friends.
Once in Lisbon, you can decide to find a way to get to the camp yourself, or you can book our transfer from Lisbon airport and we’ll pick you up and take you to the camp, safe and sound.
