March 13, 2023Today we are launching our new surf camp in Fuerteventura! If you know Lapoint, you know we are not about mass tourism. No, instead we want to give you something authentic and we have found our island home in the cosy surf town of Lajares - here the sun always shines, you are 10 minutes away from some of the best surf spots on the island and you’ll find some cool cafés, a few bars and a really nice vibe.
Get ready for this winter’s best surf trip to a destination that for sure has a flavour of its own - and get warm water surfing in Europe. The volcanic landscape surrounded by azure coloured water will make you feel like you are in western Africa - but the lifestyle and the people will give you the best of the Spanish lifestyle.
The surfing
Fuerteventura has something for all levels of surfers! The water is warm compared to most of Europe and you can surf in just a thin wetsuit.
We’ve given guests high-quality surf courses at Lapoint for more than a decade. Get started or get better, our local instructors have the knowledge and passion to help support or give you a slight push, depending on your need. No matter if you are a complete beginner, you want to take your surfing to the next level or you want to find the best, more advanced surf spots - you’ll have a good time at our surf camp in Fuerteventura!
The camp
Our surf camp in Fuerteventura is truly amazing. The location is great, close to everything but still with a 100% local vibe. The villa is modern - completely solar powered and you will be able to enjoy our beautiful garden, the comfortable hang-out areas, a training and yoga room and our 18-meter swimming pool. Here you’ll find loads of space to relax and socialise on your terms.
Accommodation and food are all you can ask for and the scenery is amazing. Decide if you want to stay in a dorm (a great way to meet new friends or travel as a group!) or book a double room if you want more privacy - the choice is yours! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the package.

The island & the climate
The volcanic island of Fuerteventura is the southernmost point of Europe, situated south of the European continent and west of the coast of Morocco. Lajares is a small town but has all the essentials that you need. It is also the hub for the local surf community, and here you are a ten-minute drive from deserted beaches, close to great northern/eastern/western surf spots and fifteen minutes from a full-on party scene.
Fuerteventura is great to visit throughout the year, with daytime temperatures between 22-28 all year and nighttime temperatures between 15-20. This gives you warm sunny days all year to play, and cooler nights for a perfect and mosquito-free sleep.
