6 Things You Must Do in Bali - Bali, Indonesia Travel Guide

1. Visit a waterfall

From our surf camp in Canggu, it’s roughly a 40-minute drive to the town of Ubud. In Ubud, you can visit the famous Water Temple, stroll in the Monkey Forest and, of course, visit a waterfall or two! Here you’ll find many stunning waterfalls to hike to and take a dip under.
Some beautiful waterfalls to check out include:
Leke Leke Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall
Nungnung Waterfall (as seen in the photo and also in the video below)
Manuaba Waterfall
2. Visit the rice fields

Since you're in Ubud already, don't miss out on visiting one of the beautiful rice fields. The fields at Tegallalang Rice Terrace are a must-see, it's a protected UNESCO world heritage site. You can also stay for lunch and hear about the spot's history while overlooking the green fields.
3. Hike a volcano

What would be a better spot to watch the sunrise from a volcano? Mount Batur is a must-see volcano when visiting Bali! Set your alarm early and get up while it’s still dark. The hike might be a bit more difficult and the macaque monkey might try to steal your much-needed coffee, but stars will surround you and when you get to the top the view is breathtaking and definitely worth the trouble!
4. Surf, of course

You haven't truly experienced Bali before you get in the water and surf your heart out! The waves in Bali are truly world-class! The conditions are good for beginners to advanced surfers and you can almost expect great waves every day – all year round! The surf is incredible in Bali, which is the reason we have one of our camps here. We recommend you to go for a sunset session to experience the real magic of Bali surfing.
5. Book a snorkelling boat trip

At our camp, we organize boat trips to go snorkelling outside the famous island Nusa Penida. The vibe at the boat, the surrounding nature and the underwater life are all amazing on their own, but together they make this trip a must-do!
6. Visit Uluwatu

Another fun day trip to do is to visit Uluwatu in the southern part of Bali. This region is known for having the most beautiful beaches in Bali, great surfing and cliffs where you can enjoy the sunset at. It’s the perfect place to go to get a break from the craziness of everyday life and just enjoy the relaxed and laid-back vibe and calmness.
